High School Attended: Gary Lew Wallace                     Graduated: 1947

High School Honors: Scored 17 TDs and kicked 18 extra points for total of 126 points in 1945; All-State running back.

College Attended: University of Kentucky                      Graduated: 1952

College Honors: Recruited by legendary coach Bear Bryant to kick extra points, return kicks, and play defensive back; team was 11-1 in 1950; played in Sugar, Orange, and Cotton Bowls; tied a Southeastern Conference record with 17 consecutive extra points in 1949; signed with Pittsburgh Steelers as a punt returner but injuries sustained whle serving in the National Guard ended his playing career before it began at the professional level.

Special Recognition: Along with members of 1950 National Championship Team, was recognized at half-time of 2004 Kentucky-Mississippi game and received championship ring.

Family: Wife, Betty Mae (deceased); sons, Robert and Jimmy.
