College Honors: Honorable Mention All-Big Ten at free safety, Freshman All-American Team 1982; Honorable Mention All-Big Ten running back 1984; 1st Team Academic All-Big Ten running back 1985; first player in NCAA history to start at 4 different positions (safety, corner, running back, and fullback); 2-year defensive totals included 101 solos and 29 assists for 130 total stops, six passes defense, 2 fumble recoveries, and 2 interceptions; rushed 245 times offensively for 1109 yards (4.5 avg) and 8 TDs; caught 60 passes for 679 yards and returned 23 kicks for 428 yards.

Professional Athletic Background: Drafted in 6th round by Houston Oilers 1986 and played there 3 years; signed as free agent with Pittsburgh Steelers 1989; retired from NFL in 1990.

Professional Athletic Honors: Lead team in TDs as a rookie; scored a TD on first NFL carry.

Special Recognition: Serves as Director of Operations for the Smyrna Housing Authority in Smyrna, TN; member of Smyrna Rotary Club; Vice-Chairman of Mt. Juliet Board of Zoning Appeals; board member of Tennessee Association of Affordable Housing; career expertise lies in developing and implementing special programs and turning around low performing operations to restore profitability and reputation, with one such operation being the Indianapolis Parks Department where fund balance increased from $500K to $1.8M in 18 months, philanthropic and grant dollars increased by 50%, and facilities usage improved by over 1M people.
