Coaching Experience: Graduate assistant football coach at Cincinnati U. 1972-1973; head football coach at Bishop Chatard High School 1973-1982, with an 86-19 record, and at Perry Meridian HS 1983-1987; career head coaching record of 118-33; assistant football coach at Ben Davis HS 1992-2011, retiring in 2011; currently serves as a volunteer football coach at Westfield HS; also head wrestling coach at Bishop Chatard 1973-1982.

Coaching Honors: Central Indiana Coach of the Year 1979; All-Star coach 1980; while at Bishop Chatard, 5-time City Champions and 2-time Sectional Champions; 3-time Class 5A State football champions while at Ben Davis, with team being named ESPN National High School Football Champions 1992.

Special Recognition: Served as a biology teacher at Bishop Chatard, Perry Meridian, and Ben Davis; science chairperson at Ben Davis; retired from teaching in May, 2011; currently works as a driver's education instructor with CIESC; President of Indiana Football Coaches Association 1982; served as State Academic Decathlon Committee chairperson 1989-1990.
