High School Honors:  3-year football letterman; All-Area Team and All-Mississinewa Valley Conference 1968, 1969, 1970; High School All-American Honorable Mention 1970; on North team in North-South All-Star game 1971; holds state record of 6 interceptions in one game, resulting in 46 points on 7 TDs and running in 2 2-point conversions 1970; 3-year basketball letterman; 4-year track letterman and was 3-time All-Area and All-Conference; 4-year baseball letterman and 3-time All-Area and All-Conference; total of 14 varsity letters.

College Attended:  Indiana University           Graduated:  1975

College Honors:  Earned 3 varsity football letters; co-captain and team MVP Defensive Back 1974.

Coaching Experience:  Assistant football coach 12 years and head coach 2 years; head coach for girls basketball 16 years; 2 years as assistant and 6 years as head wrestling coach; 7 years as head track coach.

Special Recognition:  Retired June 8, 2014, from teaching, coaching, and serving as an administrator at Edgewood High School 1975-1978, Mississinewa High School 1978-1984, and Edgewood 1984-2014; inducted into Grant County Sports Hall of Fame 2009.

Family:  Wife, Donna; daughters, Jette (Brian), Kate, Sarah (Zach), and Marcy; 3 grandchildren, Cole, Mia, and Miley.
