High School Honors: 3-year letterman in football, track, basketball; Northern Indiana Conference team champions 1975, 1976; All-Conference offensive back 1975, 1976; All-Conference defensive safety 1976; AP All-State offensive/defensive back; UPI All-State running back; All-American; team captain 1976; Conference MVP 1976; South Bend Tribune Offensive Player of the Year 1976; established numerous school records; also All-Conference in track and basketball; 1977 IHSAA 120 yards state high hurdle champion.

College Attended: University of Missouri  3.5 years

College Honors: 2-year letterman at deep back position.

Professional Athletic Background: Drafted in 6th round by Dallas Cowboys and played there 1981-1986 as defensive back with 19 interceptions, 10 fumble recoveries (2 for TDs); as kick and punt returner averaged 6.8 yards; averaged 20.2 yards on kick-off returns; team captain; played for Los Angeles Raiders 1987-1988.
