Coaching Experience:  8th grade football coach, Hobart Junior HS 1975; assistant varsity coach/junior varsity offensive coordinator, Hobart HS 1976-1999; varsity offensive coordinator 1990-1999; varsity record of 250-52 (.83).

Coaching Honors:  8 Class 4A Sectional titles (1990-1997), 6 Regional titles (1990-1993, 1995, 1996), 4 Semi-state titles (1990, 1991, 1993, 1996), and 2 State Championships (1991, 1993); received 20-year Coaching Service Award at North-South game 1996.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Bob Kobza, Wisconsin; Greg Brown and Mark Drobac, Purdue; Mark Kazmarek, Michigan State; Larry Bigbie, Ball State, Baltimore Orioles; Ron German, Louisville; Erik Kuechenberg, Notre Dame; Tim O'Brien, Northwestern; Willie Berrios, Western Michigan; Brian Fatorre, Jeff Bloom, Doug Bloom, John Palyok, Mike Beres, and many others.

Special Recognition:  Served 6 years in the Marine Corps; science department teacher and chair 34 years at HHS; retired from coaching in 1999 and teaching in 2010.
