Indiana Football Hall of Fame

The St. Joseph Valley Chapter of the INDIANA FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME held its 23rd induction banquet on Friday, May 21, 2010, at the St. Hedwig Memorial Center in South Bend.  St. Joe Chapter President and IFHOF Inductee, Bob Kania, welcomed over 360 attendees to the ceremony.  Father Walter Bly, a Hall of Fame Inductee, gave the Invocation.  Hall of Fame Vice-President and IFHOF Inductee, Ken "Bear" Jordan, represented the Hall in welcoming the newest inductees into the Hall.  Inductees and their presenters were as follows:  Bob Nagle, who was presented by Jon Thompson; Tom Murphy, who was presented by Patrick Murphy; David Schnell, who was presented by IFHOF Inductee Tom Kurth, with additional comments from IFHOF Inductee Bill Mallory; Mark Ward, who was presented by IFHOF Inductee Bill Sharpe; Scott Bovenkerk, who was presented by Greg Bovenkerk; and, Lou Holtz, who was presented by Bob Chmiel.  Bill Sharpe led the inductees through the formal pledge and pinning ceremony.  The Indiana Football Hall of Fame Officers and Board of Directors are extremely proud to welcome these gentlemen into the Hall of Fame.  We wish to thank Bob Kania and his induction committee for a wonderful banquet and ceremony.  Visitors to our website may find out more about each inductee by clicking on his name to retrieve a brief biography.
