College Honors:  All-Conference Outside Linebacker.

Coaching Experience:  Defensive coordinator Jeffersonville, IN, HS 1961-1964; head coach Edinburgh HS 1964-1968; head coach New Palestine HS 1968-2001; 41 years high school coaching experience; also, coached baseball, with a record of 574-329.

Coaching Honors:  20th winningest coach all-time with a record of 216-148-3; 10 Conference Championships; 2 Cluster Championships 1983-1984; 3 Sectionals Championships 1987, 1989, 1990; 2 Regionals Championships 1987, 1990; 1 Semi-state Championship 1990;  State Finalist 1990; Region 8 Coach of the Year 1987, 1990; South All-Star assistant coach 1987; South All-Star head coach 1991; in baseball, 9 Conference Championships; 8 Sectional Championships; 1 Regional Championship.

Outstanding Players Coached:  8 former players selected to South All-Star Teams, including Todd Yoder (Vanderbilt, Tampa Bay Buccaneers), Nick Roudebush, Jeff Miles, Brent Shapler, Larry Lease, et. al.

Special Recognition:  Instrumental in creating a youth football league in New Palestine in 2000 with over 200 kids participating in grades 1-6.
