High School Honors:  Starred in both football and baseball; earned 8 varsity letters; Conference and City Scoring Championship 1950; earned All-State honors 1951.  

College Attended:  University of Notre Dame Graduated: 1955 

College Honors:  Played two seasons before career-ending knee injury in 1952.

Officiating Career:  Began officiating high school football, baseball, and basketball games in affiliation with Calumet Officials Association and Lake County Officials Association; later added Indiana Collegiate Conference and other college games; became a Big Ten Conference Line Judge 1978, working five Michigan/Ohio State battles during his seven-years; moved to NFL, serving as line judge for three years including the Pittsburg-Dallas play-off game beginning in 1985; became a Big Ten Football technical advisor in 1995, observing and evaluating game-day officials; post-season assignments over past 10 years have included Fiesta, Insight.COM, Orange, and Citrus Bowls.

Family:  Wife, Dolores; children, Casey, Cary, and Cara.
