High School Honors:  Lettered in football 3 years, baseball 4 years, and basketball 2 years.

College Attended:  Ball State University         Graduated: 1964

College Honors:  Play baseball 1 year.

Coaching Experience:  Varsity football assistant at Waynetown, IN 1964-1965; head coach at Knightstown 35 years; also, coached junior high basketball 1990-1995; varsity baseball 1968-1976; assistant wrestling coach and junior high track coach 2 years.

Coaching Honors:  Class A State Runner-Up; Class A Regional and Semi-State Champions; Class A Sectional Champions 1992; Ball State University Alumnus Football Coach of the Year; named to North-South All-Star coaching staff 1998, where he had 3 All-Star Players.

Special Recognition:  In 1992, 1994 and 1997 named Coach of the Year; 8 Big Blue River Conference Championships; 3 White River Athletic Conference Championships; member of Indiana Football Coaches Association since its beginning. 

Family:  Wife, Beth; children, Bruce, Ellen, Kristin, and Aaron.
