College Honors: Intramural Wrestling Champion 175 lb.; lettered in football; president of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
Coaching Career: Head football coach at Richmond 1933-1949 with an interruption by service in Navy during WWII; overall football record 45-44-5.
Outstanding Players Coached: Jerry Huntsman, Stanley Huntsman, Dick Murley, Jim Peters, Ken Beasley.
Special Recognition: Was Navy Officer in South Pacific 1946-1949; football official 30 years with State Finals in 1975-1976; Distinguished Alumnus School of HPER, IU 1977; wrestling official for 10 years with State Finals in 1970-1971; track official 25 years; basketball official 30 years; officiated in more than 75 tournaments for Indiana High School Athletic Association in basketball, football, wrestling, track and cross country; officiated in Hoosier College Conference for 10 years; was football coach when the first game was played on Richmond's Lyboult Field in 1940; served on the first Board of Directors at the Indiana Football Hall of Fame and later served as president of the board.
