Date of Birth:  March 21, 1921 in Stendal, IN

High School Attended:  Boonville                Graduated:  1938

High School Honors:  Captain of football team senior year; All-State Center 1938; earned 3 letters in football, 2 in basketball, and 1 in track. 

College Attended:  Evansville College          Graduated:  1947

College Honors:  Schooling was interrupted by 3 years of service during WW II, where he played football on an Army team; started every game in his freshman, sophomore, and junior year.

Coaching Experience:  Seven years at Boonville High School with a 17 game winning record 1954-1956, which is still the school record; coached 14 years at Junior High level, sending the high school many excellent players.

Coaching Honors:  Won 1955 SIAC Championship with an undefeated team that finished ranked 7th in state.

Outstanding Players Coached:  John Baker at Kansas, Jim Roth, Willie Brimm, and Jerry Chapman of UE, and Lloyd Whittaker of Florida State University. 

Special Recognition:  Served as BHS athletic director 2 years and principal 12 years; president of SIAC 2 years.

Family:  Wife Wanda; son, Mark.
