High School Honors:  Class Valedictorian; varsity basketball 2 years.

College Attended:  DePauw University        Graduated:  1926 

College Honors:  Graduated with High Honors; president of student body 1925-1926; won 3 letters in football, 2 in basketball, and 3 in baseball; football captain 1925; mythical Little All-State 1924-1925; mythical All-State Basketball Team 1926.

Coaching Experience:  Coached football, basketball, and track at Hall Township HS in Spring Valley, IL, 1926-1927; head coach of football, basketball, and track 1927-1937 at Wabash HS; head coach of basketball, baseball, and freshman football at Mishawaka HS 1937-1942 and 1945-1946; was athletic director and football line coach at Hanover College 1946-1968; became head football coach for 4 years, with record of 21-13-2.

Coaching Honors:  Held the distinct honor of coaching basketball, football, track, baseball, tennis , golf, and cross country during his tenure at Hanover; as head football coach at Hanover, teams won Hoosier College Conference 2 out of 4 years; Hoosier College Conference Coach of the Year 1952.

Special Recognition:  Member of DePauw Sesquicentennial Team 1969; awarded DePauw's Distinguished Alumni Award 1968; awarded a Dedicated Service Award 1968 by The Hoosier College Conference for 21 years of service to his organization; was a football official for 8 years; considered one of the outstanding sports speakers in the country; inducted into Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame 1977 and Hanover Hall of Fame posthumously in 1995.
