High School Honors: All-State Linebacker and Offensive End 1963 and 1964; team leader on mythical State Championship Team 1964; also played basketball; member of Catholic All-Around Athletes Team 1965; member of student senate junior and senior years; National Honor Society 1965.

College Attended: Indiana University            Graduated: 1969

College Honors: 3-year starter as linebacker; one of team's tri-captains 1968; played in Rose Bowl 1968; All-Big 10 1967 and 1968; named AP and UPI All-American 1968; played in Senior Bowl in Mobile, AL, 1969.

Professional Athletic Background: Played 5 years for San Francisco 49ers after being drafted in the 4th round; captain of specialty teams; was traded to St. Louis Cardinals in 1974, but opted to play 2 years for Honolulu Hawaiians in World Football League.

Special Recognition: After retiring from football, became a restaurant owner and medical prosthesis salesman.
