          Loyola University of Dental Surgery   Graduated:  1989 

College Honors:  Played football for BSU; received the John V. Magnabosco Award as team's Most Valuable Player in 1973; played in East-West Shrine Game and Coaches All-American Game in 1974; College Division All-American and Academic All-American; lettered three years as free safety.

Professional Athletic Background:  Drafted in 1974 by the New Orleans Saints; played for Saints two years and was selected to NFL All-Rookie Team; played nine years for the Chicago Bears. 

Special Recognition:   Graduated magnum cum laude and as co-valedictorian from Loyola University's Chicago College of Dental Surgery after retiring from Chicago Bears; honored for outstanding academic excellence in Gross Anatomy, Dental Materials, and Oral Pathology; served as Resident Dentist at North Chicago VA Medical Hospital in 1989; in 1994, was promoted to Chief of Dental Service; serves on the board at Unlich Children's Home, Chicago; now serves as the Chief of Dental Service at the Charles George VAMC in Ashville, NC; has performed missionary dentistry in Guatemala, Honduras, Ecuador, on the Amazon River in Brazil, Nicaragua, and most recently in Togo West Africa; serves on the medical board of Christian Medical Service for Construction for Worldwide Evangelism.

Family:  Wife, Nancy; children, Jake and Jennifer.
