Coaching Experience: Football coach at Washington, IN, HS 1921-1922, Winchester 1922-1924, Sullivan 1925-1927, and Terre Haute Wiley 1927-1946; overall football record of 68-32-7; also coached basketball and track.

Coaching Honors: Presented with a gold football in appreciation from Sullivan fans 1925; awarded a watch by Sports Story Magazine for first place in a national contest for best football play 1930 (contest judges were Gill Dobie and Knute Rockne); invited to speak at Purdue Football Clinic by PU coach, Noble Kizer.
