High School Attended:  Flint Central, Flint, MI and East HS, Kansas City, MO             Graduated:  1945      

High School Honors:  National Honor Society; 5th in State track shot put.

College Attended:  Missouri Valley College            Graduated:  1950

College Honors:  Played on football team with a 41 game winning streak; played in Boys Ranch Bowl and Cigar Bowl 1947; played in Refrigerator Bowl and Cigar Bowl 1948; played in Oleander Bowl 1949.

Coaching Experience:  Assistant football coach at Manual HS, Kansas City, MO, one year; assistant coach at Broad Ripple HS for 4 years; head coach at Rushville HS 1956-1960; head coach at Vincennes HS 1960-1961 and Southport HS 1961-1981, with a record of 129-104-7.

Coaching Honors:  Coach of the Year in South Central Conference; assistant coach of the North-South All-Stars in 1972.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Chris Morris, Steve Montgomery, John Butler, and "Butterball" Jones of Rushville; Don Burckfield, Southpor; Dick Fox, Vincennes.

Special Recognition:  Retired from education after 41 years of service; inducted into Missouri State Football Hall of Fame 2007.

Family:  Wife, Ellen; sons, Curtis, Kevin, and Kris Alan.
