High School Honors:  Captain of football team 1924; All-State football 1924; holds state scoring record of 205 (31 touchdowns) in one nine game season; known as the "Red Grange" of high school football, the "Flying Swede" earned varsity letters in football (2), basketball (4), and track (2); at Cheshire Academy (prep school) was captain of basketball team 1926-1927; played football 1927 and baseball 1926-1927.

Attended Cheshire Academy (Prep School) 1926, 1927, playing basketball, football, and baseball there.

College Attended:  Wittenberg University      Graduated:  1932

College Honors:  Played football 1928-1931; Most Valuable Player; coached fraternity and intramural sports; undefeated team of 1931 was listed 6th among nation's undefeated teams.

Family:  Wife, Carolyn; children, Muriel and Carl.

Mr. Peterson passed away November 3, 1989.
