College Honors:  Awarded 11 letters in football; All-American Honorable Mention and Nation's 3rd Leading Passer as a junior in 1942; selected for 1947 College All-Star Game (WWII interrupted college studies); also played basketball and lacrosse.

Coaching Experience:  Assistant Coach for Washington Redskins; consulting coach in Mexico and Canadian Professional Football League; player/head coach of Third Infantry E.T.O; head coach University of Maryland and DePauw University.

Coaching Honors: Played in the Blue-Gray Game; in 1945, while Third Infantry Coach, was introduced to General Dwight D. Eisenhour; while coach at U of M, was introduced to Queen Elizabeth; defeated North Carolina in College Park, MD.

Professional Athletic Background: Assistant Coach for Washington Redskins; scout for Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, and Detroit Lions.
