College Honors: Lettered in football 1933-1934; All-Conference teams as guard; undefeated National Champions 1932 and 1933.

Coaching Experience: Freshman football coach at Michigan while in law school.

Officiating Experience: Served as a Big Ten football official for 20 years, a record for officials; worked Rose Bowl on January 2, 1967.

Special Recognition: Served in military during WW II; past-president and former member of Board of Directors of Rotary Club and Quest Club of Fort Wayne; former member Board of Directors of YMCA, Boy Scouts Council, Fort Wayne Country Club and Chamber of Commerce; past-president Fort Wayne Plan Commission and Redevelopment Commission; served as treasurer of Pixley Child Welfare, Inc.; member of Church Council of Trinity English Evangelical Lutheran Church; worked for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company and Central Soya Company, retiring in 1978.

Family: Wife, Helen; daughter, Suellen; sons, William, Jr., Daniel, and Thomas.

Mr. Borgmann passed away November 2, 2003.
