Professional Media Career:  Covered in person as a reporter and photographer, hundreds of high school and college football games over a 30 year period; as a sports anchor, reported on hundreds of high school and college football games; hosted and/or produced numerous special programs or coaches’ shows on football; hosted Evansville Downtown Quarterback Club's All-City High School Football Team luncheon for nearly 24 consecutive years.

Professional Media Honors:  Indiana Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Distinguished Service Award 1989; IHSAA Distinguished Media Service Award 1998; Indiana Football Coaches Association News Media Award at North-South All-Star Game 1999; Evansville Football Coaches Association Don Watson Memorial Award for contributions to local high school football 1999. 

Special Recognition:  Served two years in the US Army, including 11 months in Vietnam; Citizen of the Year Award 1977 and 1997; National Foundation March of Dimes Service Award; National Foundation Muscular Dystrophy Service Award; Paul Harris Fellow Award; Kentucky Colonel; received Key to City of Owensboro, KY.
