College Honors:  Played in North-South Shrine game 1965; still holds the record for the longest interception returned for a touchdown in the Shrine Game of 65 yards; Indiana Golden Gloves Heavyweight Champ 1963.

Professional Athletic Background:  Drafted by Chicago Bears and played there 1967-1969; played for Green Bay Packers in 1970, Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons in 1971.

Professional Athletic Honors:  Named All-Pro Middle Linebacker in the World Football League in 1974.

Special Recognition:  Served as a firefighter since retirement from NFL; brother, Bob, also played in the NFL.
