College Honors:  Won 11 letters in football, basketball, and baseball; captain of baseball team 1923 and 1924; Phi Beta Kappa 1948.

Coaching Experience:  Football coach at Clinton, IN, HS 1924-1931, with record of 50-11-4; football coach at Sullivan HS 1931-1943, with record of 80-28-8; football coach at South Bend Riley HS 1943-1956, with record of 84-43-4; total record of 214-82-16; head football coach 32 years; also, coached basketball at Clinton and Sullivan with combined record of 251-131.

Coaching Honors:  At Clinical - mythical State Titles 1924, 1928, Wabash Valley Conference Champs 1928, and Big Ten Indiana Conference Championships 1927, 1928, and 1929; at Sullivan - mythical State Title 1937, Wabash Valley Conference Championships 1937-1941, and won 3 Southern Conference Titles; at Riley - Northern Indiana Eastern Division Conference Championships 1949, 1954; also, won 7 basketball Sectional titles and 1 Regional titles.

Special Recognition:  President of Indiana Coaches Association 1947-1948; National Rules Committee 1940.
