Coaching Experience:  Freshman football coach at Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger 1973-1976, junior varsity assistant 1977-1978, varsity assistant 1979, and head coach 1980-2002; career record of 191-67 (.740); also coached in basketball, wrestling, and baseball.

Coaching Honors:  Was SAC Coach of the Year 3 times; won 5 SAC Titles - 1983, 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1996; team was State Runner-up in 1996 with record of 12-2; won IHSAA State Championships in 1983, 1990, and 1991; received awards for his 100th and 150th wins by the Indiana Football Coaches Association.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Jason Fabin, University of Cincinnati and NY Jets; Chris Dittoe, Indiana University and Detroit Lions; Tom Dixon, University of Michigan; Kevin Caretta, University of Notre Dame; Euel Wilson and Alex Tone.

Special Recognition:  Inducted into the University of St. Francis Hall of Fame; since 1990, has served as Bishop Dwenger athletic director.
