High School Honors:  Excelled in 3 sports: football, baseball, and wrestling; in 1964-1965, was Northern Indiana Conference's MVP in football; voted to 1st Team All-Conference (offense and defense) and 1st team All-State in 1964-1965; High School All-American in 1965; led team to 1964-1965 Conference Championship; received varsity awards in wrestling 4 years; was All- Conference and State Champion 3 years; chosen as the NIC MVP for 2 years.

College Attended:  Grand Rapids Junior College                       Graduated:  1968

College Honors:  First Team All-American in baseball; in football, received varsity awards for 2 years and was 1st Team Junior College All-American 1967-1968 seasons; chosen as MVP in the Wool Bowl, Amarillo, New Mexico, in 1968.

Special Recognition:  Drafted into Army 1969; honorably discharged and a Vietnam vet; was inducted into the Indiana High School Wrestling Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding achievements in wrestling; supervisor of key accounts, Metro Beverages.
