College Honors:  4-year starter at halfback and quarterback; also handled punting and placekicking duties; All-State honors 1950; led Cardinals to BSU's first unbeaten, untied season 1949, with a record of 8-0-0.

Coaching Experience:  Assistant football coach at Royerton HS, Muncie, IN, 1 year, then head coach 7 years; assistant coach Ft. Wayne South 1 year; head coach Anderson, IN, Madison Heights 6 years; assistant coach (wide receivers) Indiana University 7 years; assistant coach University of Illinois 1 year; assistant 2 years and head coach 1 year for Calgary Stampeders; assistant coach Michigan State University 3 years; offensive coordinator Arizona State University 1 year.

Coaching Honors:  Ball State Coach of the Year 1977; assistant coach for Indiana University Rose Bowl team 1968; Big Ten Co-Champion 1967; on staff at Michigan State for Big Ten Co-Champions 1978.
