High School Honors:  The Evansville newspaper called him the finest passer in Evansville to that time.

College Honors:  Letter winner 1951-1953; recipient of Kiwanis Sportsmanship Award as Outstanding Football Scholar-Athlete 1953.

Professional Athletic Background:  Tried out for the Cleveland Browns.

Coaching Experience:  Coached at Mississinewa HS for 36 years; first coached at Mississinewa 1954-1976 and returned 1981-1994; his coaching record was 211-124-6; now retired from coaching and teaching.

Coaching Honors:  Teams won 13 Conference Championships, 4 Sectional Championships, and 1 Regional Championship; Mississinewa won 7 Conference MVC Championships 1959-1965 and 9 out of 10 1959-1968; chosen Chronicle Tribune Coach of the Year numerous times.

Outstanding Players Coached:  Bill Atkinson, Indiana University; Gonzalo Barajas, Ball State University; and Mike Barsha, University of Indianapolis.

Special Recognition:  Served on Mississinewa school board for 3 terms, 1994, 1998, 2002; Mississinewa High School football field renamed "Fisher Field" in his honor.

Family:  Son, Charlie; daughters, Patti, Charlotte, and Carol.
