Professional Career: Arrived in La Porte in 1941 to be Medical Director of the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant during World War II; donated his services as team doctor to La Porte HS 1943-1965; became a confidant to the coaches and players alike.

Special Recognition: An annual scholarship was established in his honor at La Porte High School to benefit a needy student pursuing a college education.

Family: Wife, Teddy Fischer Frye; children, Carlton R., Richard, Robert, and Julie.

Dr. Fischer passed away in 1965.
